Social Disorders and Mental Illnesses: Having been abandoned without a reason at a young age by his foster father, Kaito is a loner and may take some time to open up to people. Not staying at a particular place long, he has little social interaction and can be awkward at times, and may need things spelled out for him.
Relationships: Kaito is polite and proper to strangers, but will open up to those who do to him first, and is rarely the one to initiate anything. He is romantically oblivious, and will be overly clumsy at first to a love interest before becoming more casual and himself. Character History
Kaito was part of a town that was destroyed by enthusiasts of the Black Wizard Zeref when he was very young, with the ice dragon Icebringer finding him in the rubble as the town’s lone survivor, Seeing the child’s persistence to survive even in the cold conditions, he decided to teach him ice dragon slayer magic and raise him as his own.
Years later, Icebringer disappeared one day on the year of 777 like the other dragons without a word, leaving Kaito to travel and fend for himself. He managed to somehow scrape by thanks to the ice dragon slaying magic he was taught, and continues to search for his dragon. It is because of this that he never really settled down anywhere and joined a mage guild. He continued to be an unaffiliated mage doing any public job requests not put forward to wizard guilds.
During his travels, he has become quite the fan of powerful ice mages such as Ul and Gray Fullbuster, and wishes to become as strong and well known as them one day. Due to travelling from place to place a lot, he had only made many short temporary friendships with the locals, though did not keep in contact with them after.
Roleplay Sample
In a darkened alleyway, a flicker of reflected moonlight could be seen as footsteps could be heard following another, up until the city lights from the outside was enough to reveal the persons the footsteps to. “I’ve found you, escaped prisoner, Muraso Zemo, I’m here to take your back to the magic council,” said a silver haired man with light blue eyes behind glasses, donning a white cloak over a pale blue suit like attire.
He then showed the escapee his wanted poster, a gangster looking male with brown afro hair, Kaito had taken upon himself to take his bounty as a job request. “A bounty hunter huh, well too bad wannabe hero! I’m a mage y’know!” the criminal said before letting out a whipping chain that was made it glow pink with magic.
“Looks like you want to do things the hard way,” Kaito said with a light sigh as he swiftly side stepped to the side as the chain hit the ground next time him, making concrete crack a little. He then quickly grabbed onto the chain, and upon touching it, it started to freeze right up to the owner’s hand. “Naturally I am a mage too, I wouldn’t take such a job otherwise.” he stated as a matter of fact, soon tying the criminal up with his own chains before handing him to the authorities.
After all formalities were done with his request, he left the town he was in, onward to the next one. “What’s that, a meteor shower?” Kaito wondered as he looked up to the sky, it was a rare phenomenon so he decided to investigate by following where those fallings lights would land. After running for a good while across plains, he found something hovering in front of him, a magnificent looking crystal that illuminated its presence like the moon.
He didn’t know why, but he found himself pulled towards the mystrerious item, before he lifted a hand to take hold of it, making it shine brightly on reaction it was almost blinding. “I have a feeling I shouldn’t have touched it…” Kaito thought with dreaded regret as he felt the light from the crystal consume him completely before he found himself blacking out from it.
