Name: Xantara
Physical Land Characteristics: Two continents shaped a bit like tear drops, almost like a yinyang if you mushed the islands together. Over these two continents they have deserts, forests, plains, and more. A lot of the steampunk style cities are nothing but ruins, much of their higher technology having been lost long ago in wars against mages. Big gears stick out of the ground in some places while other locations are littered with broken machines half buried by earth and plant. There are some places still scared by the old war such as craters and long stretches of lifeless land. There is still more living locations than not, in fact the dead places are very few. Jungles, tundra, desert, field, and forest are common and large.
Flora and Fauna: About the same as Earth with final fantasy fiends and high fantasy creatures. Herds of unicorns and flocks of dragons, for example.
Settlements: There are multiple villages and towns but each continent has only one huge capital complete with a huge castle and landings for both sea ships and air ships. There are only two big steampunk style cities (their 'steampunk' is called 'old science') these are the capital cities.
Races: You usual fantasy races; humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, fae, ect. This doesn't include those brought in by The Great Rift that the final fantasy sorts come in from.
Culture: It varies from location to location. Some people are farmers, others scientists, and others mages. The only big thing is that all over the world magic is disappearing and that scientists are all in some part archeologists that must explore lost 'old science' to create 'new science'.
Economy: Mostly run on things people create themselves or do for others. Very little renting of property if any. Everything is mostly bought and sold. If they don't want it, no sense in collecting fees for someone else to use it when they can get rid of it for a lump sum of money or goods. This sometimes results in payments plans when exchanging goods rather than money. New people in their world gives them new opportunity to trade. The fact these people are strong enough to go out and claim lost treasures make it even more of a treat for people looking to make a living or to claim something unique.
